About Me
Hi, I’m Victoria, the creator of Mabel & Roo
I’ve always had a love for Art, Fashion and, of course, handbags! After graduating with a degree in Art and Fashion Design, I spent several years working in Buying and Product Development in London and Dublin helping bring products to life.
Life took a different path when I became mum to Ruby. Like many creative people, I found myself constantly sketching ideas, painting whenever I could and dreaming up creating something that was truly my own.
Fast forward a few years (and after being expertly supervised by one very opinionated dachshund) Mabel & Roo was born.
I’ve always believed crochet deserved a place in modern fashion. For too long it’s been seen as something your nan made for Christmas! I wanted to challenge that idea by creating contemporary, luxury handbags that are stylish, beautifully crafted and completely unique.
Every bag is handmade by me, using recycled yarn, stitch by stitch, so no two are ever exactly the same. In a world of fast fashion and mass production, I hope Mabel & Roo offers something a little slower, a little more thoughtful and made to be loved for years to come.
Thank you for supporting my small business, it really does mean the world.

Meet Mabel….
One half of the inspiration behind Mabel & Roo, Mabel is our 3 year old long-haired dachshund and self appointed managing director. She’s tiny, fearless and wonderfully stubborn. She may not help with the crocheting, but she does insist on supervising every project and making sure your bags all pass her very high standards!
…And Ruby (Roo)
My beautiful daughter, and second inspiration for the brand name! Ruby is as unique and fabulous as they come. Being diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4, Ruby has navigated life with challenges, but she has never compromised who she is. She remains wonderfully unique, authentic and unapologetically herself - Something I strive to carry on through Mabel & Roo
